Church Overview
One of the oldest Episcopal churches in the diocese, being built in 1843. Gothic church in red sandstone with nave, chancel and tall bellcote on the west gable, designed by Christopher Hodgson of Carlisle. East window depicting St John the Evangelist, by Mayer & Co, 1892. Chancel is lined with very fine oak panelling matching the carved altar, pulpit and eagle lectern. Church hall of 1893 in the grounds.
