Church Overview

Scoonie Kirk is the original Parish Church of Leven with its roots going back over sixteen centuries. The church moved to its present site in 1775. In 1904 the building was rebuilt and enlarged to a design by the eminent church architect P MacGregor Chalmers which incorporated some of the earlier building. The unique pipe organ was built by the French organ builder August Gern 1884 and was restored 1992. The building also has some very striking stained glass windows.
