Church Overview

Small Gothic church of 1877 by J Russell Mackenzie which is an architectural gem. The elaborately detailed façade and 4-stage tower with spire have details derived from Poitiers and Chartres. Church and presbytery were founded by Elsa Mona Richart Hepburn in memory of her daughter and husband. Stations of the Cross were painted in 1954 by F Walterson, a Shetland artist.
